The FLAK is a shotgun cannon found in New Game+.

Practicality

The FLAK deals high damage and the projectiles ricochet but the spread is so massive that aiming is basically pointless. If there are lots of enemies in a confined space it will tear through them no problem, but in an open environment or fewer opponents it's probably better to just use another weapon. Because of the enormous shot spread, it is better to treat this gun more as a second slot melee weapon - this way, the whole volley has a chance to connect, which will deliver tremendous damage to any poor thing on the receiving end.

This thing used to be mounted on specialized Anti-Air Drones back in the days when we had to worry about oversized birds shitting on the city. Jokes aside, this thing is barely a proof of concept. It's chock full of gears and gizmos that do nothing, and only a few working spare industrial parts. Basically, a super-hot ion core in the middle fries everything around it and jets the molten slag out of it in more directions than I care to name. It's an oversized and dirty blunderbuss of a gun, but recently I've seen more of them pop up in the hands of some more acclaimed mercenary outfits. To their credit, I've yet to see anything it hits come back from oblivion.
