The HYPERBLASTER is a prototype energy minigun found in New Game+.
Practicality[]
Operating like a souped-up VULCAN, the HYPERBLASTER can tear into hordes and bosses alike as long as the wielder compensates for the spin-up time. However, the HYPERBLASTER also suffers from a lack of accuracy, making it impractical against faster individual enemies.
Database Entry[]
The Hyperblaster prototype was virtually three Storm V rifles spot welded together and hard wired to an outlet in a scorched lab somewhere deep underground... all because the power cells they normally used burned out halfway through the spin up cycle. Regardless, Heaven Corp. found that prototype in the latter days of its development, and added the one thing that was missing: a viable power source. I won't pretend to know what they stuck in there, but I do know the magnanimous spray of face-melting death that comes out of it would put the Vulcan to shame.
